Use: it is a kind of primrose crystal powder easily soluble in organic solvent like ethyl alcohol and acetone, insoluble in water, thermally stable and innoxious with an absorption spectrum of 234-400 millimicron. It is benzophenone ultroviolet absorbent and can be used as the stabilizing agent of synthetic plastic like polythylene with concentration at 0.5-1.5%. It is also used for paint, pigment, coating, fine white wax, daily cosmetics, etc.
