Green corundum green silicon carbide grain is produced in electrical internal resistance furnaces from quartz sand, petroleum coke (or coal char), sawdust, salt and other raw materials. Its combination of being very hard and sharp makes it a very aggressive abrasive ideal for many applications where a higher purity is required.
