It's light yellow to yellow solid, which immediately turns from yellow to red in contact with alkali materials and when exposure to sunlight the color will become deeper. It is poisonous. Inflammable, slightly soluble in water. Soluble in some organic solvents such as ether acetone, benzene and toluene etc.
Usage: It is used an important material in the preparation of 2.4-toluene diamine such as polyurethane, dyestuffs, medicament and rubber etc.
