EPICHLOROHYDRINE

Epichlorohydrin(ECH) ECH is a functional material, mainly used in manufacturing epoxy resins, water treatment chemicals, paper strengthening agents, ECH elastomers, and etc. Epoxy Resins Over 90% of ECH produced in the world is used in production of epoxy resins. ECH is reacted with bisphenolA(BPA) to make liquid epoxy resins, which are used for adhesives, paints, and coating agents for the construction, shipbuilding and electronics industries. Water Treatment Chemicals ECH is reacted with dimethylamine(DMA) to make polyamines, which work as flocculants in water and wastewater treatment. Paper Strengthening Additive To enhance paper strength, cationic starch is added to wet pulp in the manufacturing process. The cationic starch is formed by propyl trimethyl ammomium chloride(PTAC), where, ECH is used as a key raw material.
