I. Overview

The HAJB-Y-2 explosion-proof smoke fire detector is a detector with RS485 signal output, which can be used with any upper computer (controller) equipped with an RS485 communication interface.

When the on-site smoke concentration exceeds the set threshold, the indicator light of the detector remains on and sends an alarm signal to the controller. Only after power is cut off and then restored, the indicator light will return to the flashing (inspection) state.

II. Features:

IV. Installation Notes:

1. During maintenance and upkeep, be careful to avoid damaging the detector.

2. Within 0.5m around the detector, there should be no obstructions.

3. The horizontal distance from the detector to the edge of the air conditioning supply air outlet shall not be less than 1.5m.

4. The horizontal distance from the detector to the wall or beam edge shall not be less than 0.5m.

5. When installing detectors on the ceiling of an inner corridor with a width less than 3m, they should be arranged in the middle. The installation spacing of the detectors shall not exceed 15m, and the distance from the detector to the end wall shall not be greater than half of the installation spacing of the detectors.

6. The detector should be installed horizontally. If it must be installed obliquely, the inclination angle shall not exceed 45°.

7. The detector base shall be installed firmly, and its wire connection must be reliable.

8. The confirmation light of the detector should face the main entrance direction that is easy for people to observe.

9. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble under power in flammable and explosive places.

10. Do not damage the flameproof surface during installation, and keep it clean. The fastening screws of the flameproof surface should be tightened evenly, and pay attention to not letting wires or other foreign objects get caught in the flameproof surface.

11. Note: During installation, do not remove the dust cover to prevent dust from entering and affecting the accuracy of the detector. The dust cover should be removed when the system is running normally.

V. Working Principle:

This detector uses the infrared scattering principle to detect fires. The circuit mainly consists of an infrared transmitting part and a receiving part. The transmitting tube and the receiving tube are placed in an optical darkroom, which can block external stray light interference but does not affect the entry of smoke and dust. In a smoke-free state, only very weak infrared light is received. When smoke and dust enter, the received light signal is enhanced due to the scattering effect. When the smoke and dust reach a certain concentration, an alarm signal can be output. To reduce interference and power consumption, the transmitting circuit works intermittently, which can extend the service life of the transmitting tube. The alarm output signal adopts the RS485 output method.

RS-485Communication: Adopts the standard RS-485 communication interface, and the communication baud rate can be selected as: 2400bps, 4800bps, 9600bps, 19200bps, (the default baud rate from the factory is 9600bps, and the RS485 address is 5). Modbus-RTU Protocol: The alarm status register addresses are 01, 02, 03 or 04, which are read using function codes 01, 02, 03 or 04. The status is "0" or "1" ("0" means normal, and "1" means alarm).
