Trichloroethylene

Trichloroethylene is an organic compound with the chemical formula C2HCl3. It is a compound formed by replacing three hydrogen atoms in the ethylene molecule with chlorine. It appears as a colorless, transparent liquid, insoluble in water but soluble in ethanol, and miscible with most organic solvents. It is primarily used as a solvent and also finds applications in degreasing, refrigeration, pesticides, perfumes, the rubber industry, and fabric cleaning.
