Tirzepatide is a once-weekly dual agonist of the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP, also known as gastric inhibitory polypeptide) receptor and the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, developed by Eli Lilly.
