Uses

It serves as a raw material for unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy resins, and polyurethane resins, as well as for plasticizers, surfactants, emulsifiers, and demulsifiers. In the food industry and other sectors, it is used as a solvent for flavors and food colorings, a tobacco wetting agent, an antifungal agent, and a fruit ripening and preservative agent, as well as a pharmaceutical excipient. It can also be used as an antifreeze, heat transfer fluid, and lubricant for food machinery.
