Sulfamic acid

Aminosulfonic acid can be used to remove blockages in oil layers and enhance their permeability. Injecting an aminosulfonic acid solution into carbonate rock oil-producing formations, because aminosulfonic acid readily reacts with the reservoir rock, prevents the deposition of reaction-generated salts while doubling oil production. In the United States, a solution containing 48.5% potassium hydroxyacetate, 3.4% aminosulfonic acid, and 0.1-3% wetting agent in water is used to clean gypsum scale layers in oil well casings, with a treatment time of approximately 30 hours.
