Cinnamon

Cinnamon, defined as the bark of plants from the Cinnamomum genus in the Lauraceae family, is a general term for the bark of trees such as Cinnamomum pedunculatum, Cinnamomum burmannii, Cinnamomum chingii, or Sichuan cinnamon. This product is used as a food spice or cooking seasoning. The botanical sources of commercial cinnamon are relatively complex, with approximately over ten species, all belonging to the Cinnamomum genus in the Lauraceae family. It is one of the ingredients in five-spice powder seasoning.
