Andrographolide

Andrographolide, with the chemical formula C₂₀H₂₈O₅, is a diterpene lactone compound extracted from the plant Andrographis paniculata of the Acanthaceae family. It appears as a white to pale yellow crystalline powder, odorless and bitter in taste. It is prone to decomposition when exposed to light and heat, soluble in methanol and ethanol, slightly soluble in water, and possesses certain stability and specific physicochemical properties.
