Ethylene glycol

Industrial ethylene glycol, also known as "glycol" or "1,2-ethanediol," abbreviated as EG, has the performance advantages of being a colorless, transparent, viscous liquid with a sweet taste, hygroscopic properties, and toxicity to animals.

I. Product Uses

● Industrial ethylene glycol is mainly used in the production of polyester fibers, polyester resins, humectants, and plasticizers.

● Used in synthetic fibers and cosmetics.

● Serves as a solvent for dyes/inks, formulates engine antifreeze, gas dehydrating agents, etc.

● Used as a wetting agent for cellophane, fibers, leather, and adhesives.

● Produces synthetic resin PET, fiber-grade PET bottle chips for making mineral water bottles, etc.

● Can produce alkyd resins and glyoxal.

● Used as antifreeze for automobiles or for the transfer of industrial cooling capacity, generally referred to as a coolant.
