p-Chloroaniline
Other Products
Core Application Areas
Dye Industry
As a key intermediate for azo dyes, p-chloroaniline is used to synthesize pigments such as Color Lake AS-LB and Permanent Yellow. The annual consumption in the Chinese dye industry is approximately 350 tons, with Color Lake AS-LB accounting for nearly 50%. Its derivatives can also be used to prepare color film couplers for imaging development technology.
Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
It is a raw material for drugs such as Librium (sedative) and Phenacetin (antipyretic and analgesic), with an annual demand in the pharmaceutical field of about 15-20 tons. For example, 2-chloro-4-aminophenol synthesized from p-chloroaniline is an intermediate for Lufenuron (insecticide).
Pesticide Production
Used for synthesizing Diflubenzuron (insect growth regulator), Anilofos (herbicide), Inabenfide (plant growth regulator), etc. This can be achieved via direct synthesis or through derivative pathways such as p-chlorophenylurea.
