Nonylphenol
Other Products
Nonylphenol ethoxylates are very important non-ionic surfactants. This type of surfactant undergoes de-ethoxylation reactions in the natural environment to generate nonylphenol substances.
Main Uses
Surfactant Raw Material
It is a key intermediate in the production of Nonylphenol Ethoxylates (NPEs). NPEs are a class of non-ionic surfactants with excellent emulsifying, dispersing, solubilizing, and wetting properties, widely used in detergents, textile auxiliaries, pesticide emulsifiers, cosmetic additives, and other fields.
Rubber Industry
As an intermediate for rubber antioxidants, its derivatives (such as nonylphenol formaldehyde resin) can improve the oxidation resistance, heat resistance, and mechanical strength of rubber, used in rubber products like tires and seals.
Plastic Additives
Used in the production of heat stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride (PVC). By compounding with metal salts, it improves the processing stability and weather resistance of PVC; it can also serve as an intermediate for plastic plasticizers.
Other Fields
As a lubricant additive, it improves the oxidation resistance and anti-corrosion performance of oils.
Used in the preparation of oilfield chemicals (such as demulsifiers and corrosion inhibitors), assisting in the separation of oil and water and protecting equipment during petroleum extraction and processing.
As a modifier for synthetic resins, such as cross-linking agents for phenolic resins and epoxy resins, enhancing the adhesion and chemical resistance of the resins.
