　　Main Uses

　　Organic Solvent:

　　It is a high-performance, low-toxicity solvent widely used in industries such as coatings, inks, and adhesives. It possesses strong solvency power and a moderate evaporation rate (between ethyl acetate and butyl acetate). It is compatible with various resins (such as acrylic resins, alkyd resins, epoxy resins, etc.) and can improve the flow and leveling as well as the gloss of coatings.

　　Pharmaceutical and Chemical Intermediate:

　　It can serve as an intermediate in organic synthesis for the preparation of tert-butanol derivatives, active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), etc.; in certain reactions, it can also act as a carrier for protecting groups.

　　Gasoline Additive:

　　When added in small amounts to gasoline, it can improve the octane number and combustion performance, but its application scale is relatively small.

　　Other Fields:

　　Used in the fragrance industry (as a solvent or synthetic intermediate) and in cleaning agent formulations (to replace some volatile organic compounds, VOCs), etc.
