Main Uses

Synthetic Detergent Raw Materials:

1-Dodecene is one of the important raw materials for preparing Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB). It generates LAB through an alkylation reaction with benzene, which is further sulfonated to obtain Sodium Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonate (LAS). It is a core component of household detergents and industrial cleaning agents, possessing excellent detergency.

Lubricating Oils and Additives:

It can generate Polyalphaolefin (PAO) through polymerization reactions. PAO is a key base oil for synthetic lubricants, characterized by good high-temperature stability, a high viscosity index, and excellent low-temperature fluidity. It is widely used in automotive engine oils, aviation lubricants, etc. It serves as an intermediate to synthesize lubricant additives (such as antioxidants and rust inhibitors).

Surfactants and Fine Chemicals:

Used to synthesize fatty alcohols, fatty acids, etc., which are further used to prepare non-ionic surfactants, emulsifiers, etc.

Used to produce fine chemical products such as 1-Dodecanethiol (rubber polymerization regulator) and Dodecylamine (cationic surfactant).

Other Fields:

Used as a solvent in the coatings and ink industries, or as a standard for chromatographic analysis.

Used to prepare plasticizers, fragrance intermediates, etc.
