N,N-Dimethyl-p-toluidine
Other Products
Main Uses
Polymerization Promoter: This is its primary application. It forms an initiation system with peroxides, used for the curing of unsaturated polyester resins and the polymerization of acrylate monomers (such as dental composite resins, bone cements, anaerobic adhesives, etc.), significantly shortening curing time and improving production efficiency.
Organic Synthesis Intermediate: Used in the preparation of nitrogen-containing aromatic compounds such as dyes, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides. For example, it generates p-nitro-N,N-dimethylaniline through oxidation reactions, which is an intermediate for synthesizing azo dyes.
Analytical Chemistry Reagent: Can be used as a colorimetric agent for the detection of certain metal ions or for the qualitative analysis of organic compounds. Other Fields: Used in the preparation of rubber auxiliaries and antioxidants, or as a catalyst for polyurethane foams.
