n-Hexylamine
Other Products
Main Uses
Organic synthesis intermediate:
Used for synthesizing fine chemicals such as dyes, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides, for example, as an intermediate in the preparation of insecticides, fungicides, and surfactants.
As an amine ligand, used in the synthesis of organometallic compounds or catalytic reactions.
Surfactant production:
Can be used to prepare cationic surfactants (e.g., reacting with fatty acids to form amine salts or quaternary ammonium salts), used in detergents, emulsifiers, antistatic agents, etc., especially for fiber treatment in the textile and paper industries.
Other applications:
As a corrosion inhibitor, added to metalworking fluids or lubricating oils to reduce corrosion by adsorbing onto metal surfaces to form a protective film.
Used to prepare rubber auxiliaries, corrosion inhibitors, flotation agents, etc., and can also serve as a solvent for certain organic reactions or extraction processes.
