High-boiling Solvents: Used as a primary solvent in nitrocellulose coatings, capable of dissolving rosin, alkyd resins, etc., improving the leveling and gloss of the paint film. The dosage is typically 5-8% of the formulation.

Electronic Cleaning Agents: Electronic grade DEGPE (purity ≥99.9%) can remove rosin flux residues from circuit board surfaces. With an ion content < 10 ppm, it meets the IPC-7510 standard and is widely used in semiconductor packaging processes.

Metalworking Fluids: Used as a coupling agent in cutting fluids to enhance the affinity between lubricants and metal surfaces, reduce wear, inhibit microbial growth, and extend service life.

Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care

Pharmaceutical Carriers: Used as a solvent for topical medications to enhance the skin penetration of active ingredients (such as antibacterial agents). For example, DEGPE is used as a solvent in 5% dapoxetine gels to promote transdermal drug absorption.

Cosmetic Additives: Used as a fragrance carrier and preservative in skincare products. Its low irritation and high stability make it suitable for sensitive skin products, with a dosage typically ≤0.5%.

Polymer Material Synthesis

Epoxy Resin Diluents: Excellent compatibility with epoxy resins, capable of reducing system viscosity and improving workability without affecting the mechanical properties after curing. The dosage is 10-15% of the resin.

Polyurethane Chain Extenders: Reacts with isocyanates via hydroxyl groups to improve the flexibility and water resistance of polyurethane elastomers, used in the synthesis of automotive interior materials.
