　　Main Applications

　　1. Coatings and Inks Industry

　　Coalescing Agent: In water-based coatings (such as latex paints and wood coatings), it can lower the Minimum Film Formation Temperature (MFT) of emulsion particles, promote particle fusion, reduce film defects such as cracking and pinholes, and improve the gloss and water resistance of the film;

　　Solvent and Diluent: Used in solvent-based inks to regulate viscosity and improve pigment dispersibility; it is particularly suitable for plastic film printing inks (good compatibility with polyolefins).

　　2. Cleaners and Detergents

　　Industrial Cleaners: As a solvent for metal surface cleaners, it can dissolve stubborn greases such as mineral oil and lubricating oil. Meanwhile, due to good hydrophilicity, it is easily rinsed off by water, making it suitable for cleaning mechanical parts and electronic components;

　　Household Cleaners: Used as a co-solvent in glass cleaners and kitchen degreasers to enhance the dissolving power against grease and oil, and its low volatility reduces odor irritation during use.

　　3. Textile and Leather Industry

　　Wetting Agent and Leveling Dyeing Agent: In textile dyeing and printing, it promotes the uniform penetration of dyes into fibers by reducing the surface tension of water, avoiding uneven dyeing;

　　Leather Treatment Agent: Used in leather finishing agents to improve the adhesion between the coating and the leather, while increasing the flexibility of the coating.

　　4. Other Fields

　　Cosmetics and Personal Care: Used as a humectant or solvent in skin care products and hair conditioners to help dissolve other ingredients and enhance skin compatibility;

　　Antifreeze and Brake Fluid: Utilizing its characteristics of low freezing point (-48℃) and high boiling point, it is used as an additive in antifreeze or to regulate viscosity in brake fluid;

　　Pharmaceutical Intermediates: Synthesizing compounds with specific biological activities through derivatization reactions of hydroxyl groups (such as esterification and etherification).
