　　Used for cleaning electronic components and photoresist residues on semiconductor chips, or as a cleaning agent for liquid crystal displays (LCDs). Chemical Industry and Extraction:

　　As an extractant, it is used for the separation of aromatics and alkanes (e.g., extracting benzene and toluene from petroleum fractions) and the recovery of organic gases (e.g., acetylene, butadiene).
