　　As a solvent, used to dissolve natural resins (such as rosin) and synthetic resins (such as polyvinyl acetate), and to regulate viscosity and drying speed in coatings and inks (due to slow volatility, it can extend leveling time).

　　Daily Chemical and Fragrance Industry

　　Used in the preparation of fragrances; its floral and fruity scent can be directly used in the scent blending of soaps and cosmetics;

　　As a raw material for ester-based fragrances (such as n-hexyl hexanoate, hexyl butyrate), these esters are often used in food flavorings (such as fruit-flavored beverages, pastries) and daily chemical flavorings.

　　Pharmaceutical and Agricultural

　　In the pharmaceutical field, used as a solvent for the preparation or extraction of certain drugs (such as dissolving fat-soluble drugs);
