The global annual demand for this product exceeds 100,000 tons, driving the consumption of isopropylamine by approximately 30,000 tons.

Advantages: The high reactivity of the amino group allows for the precise introduction of the isopropyl group, enhancing the lipid solubility and biological activity of pesticides, and extending the half-life by 20-30% compared to similar products.

Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals

Pharmaceutical field: Synthesis of antihistamines (such as promethazine hydrochloride) and local anesthetics (prilocaine). A key step in prilocaine production is the acylation reaction between isopropylamine and p-nitrobenzoyl chloride (purity requirement 99.9%, moisture content ≤0.05%).
