　　As a fungicide and preservative: sec-Butylamine is a highly efficient preservative for fruits and vegetables, capable of inhibiting mold growth (such as blue mold and green mold) and extending the storage period (e.g., used for the preservation of citrus, apples, pears, etc.). Its mechanism involves inhibiting the activity of metabolic enzymes in microbial cells, thereby preventing fungal reproduction.

　　Pesticide intermediate: Used in the synthesis of pesticides such as fungicides and herbicides (e.g., sec-butylamine derivatives can serve as active ingredients in pesticides).

　　Industrial Sector:

　　Chemical intermediate: Used in the synthesis of dyes, pharmaceuticals, surfactants, rubber accelerators, etc. For example, amide compounds produced by reaction with acyl chlorides can serve as pharmaceutical intermediates.

　　Metal corrosion inhibitor: Utilizing its alkalinity and adsorption properties, it forms a protective film on metal surfaces to slow down corrosion (e.g., used in metalworking fluids).
