Main Uses

Organic Synthesis Intermediate: Used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, surfactants, etc. For example, it serves as an amination reagent in pharmaceutical synthesis, participating in the construction of nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds; or is used in the synthesis of antifungal agents, local anesthetics, etc.

Sol Reagent and Catalyst: Due to its polarity and basicity, it can be used as a reaction solvent (e.g., for catalytic reactions in polyurethane synthesis), or as an acid-base neutralizer or phase-transfer catalyst to promote the progress of heterogeneous reactions.

Corrosion Inhibitor: In metalworking or water treatment, it is utilized as a corrosion inhibitor on metal surfaces due to its alkalinity and adsorption properties, inhibiting corrosion reactions.

Polyurethane Industry: Used as a catalyst in the production of polyurethane foams to promote the reaction between isocyanates and hydroxyl groups and regulate the foam curing speed.
