　　Main Applications

　　Natural gas and oilfield gas dehydration:

　　Triethylene glycol is the preferred solvent for natural gas dehydration due to its high boiling point, strong hygroscopicity, and low regeneration energy consumption. It can form hydrogen bonds with water in natural gas, removing moisture through absorption to achieve the dryness (dew point requirements) necessary for pipeline transportation or processing.

　　Solvent and extractant:

　　As a high-boiling solvent, it is used to dissolve organic substances such as oils, resins, dyes, and fragrances, and is widely used in industries such as inks, coatings, and cosmetics.

　　Used for the extraction and separation of aromatics (e.g., extracting benzene and toluene from petroleum fractions).

　　Chemical raw material:

　　Used for synthesizing polyether polyols (for producing polyurethane foams and elastomers), plasticizers (such as triethylene glycol dibenzoate), surfactants, etc.

　　As an intermediate for the preparation of high-energy fuels and explosives.

　　Other applications:

　　Used as a stationary phase in gas chromatography for the separation and analysis of organic compounds.

　　Due to its high boiling point and moderate viscosity, it can serve as a high-temperature heat transfer medium.

　　Used as a lubricant and softener in the textile industry to improve the processing performance of fibers.
