Preservative Synergist: Disrupts microbial cell membrane structure, interferes with enzyme activity, and acts synergistically with other preservatives. A concentration of 3.2% achieves broad-spectrum antibacterial effects and reduces the amount of traditional preservatives needed.
Solvent and Skin Feel Regulator: Dissolves lipid-soluble/water-soluble ingredients, improves formula spreadability and permeability, and reduces stickiness. Typical application concentration is 2-8%.
2. High-Performance Polyurethane and Polyester Materials
Polyurethane Elastomers:
Acts as a chain extender reacting with isocyanates to improve the material's mechanical strength (tensile strength increased by 20%), water resistance (water absorption < 0.5%), and heat resistance (glass transition temperature increased by 15℃), used in automotive suspension components, industrial rubber rollers, etc.
Synthesizes thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), improving low-temperature flexibility and toughness (brittleness temperature -40℃), used in ski boots, phone cases, etc.
Biodegradable Polyesters: Polymerizes with 1,4-butanediol to generate polybutylene succinate (PBS), with a degradation rate of over 80% in soil within 6 months, used for packaging materials and agricultural mulch films.
