　　Main Uses

　　Organic synthesis intermediate

　　Used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals (such as the local anesthetic procaine, antihistamines, etc.), pesticides (such as insecticides, herbicides), and dyes (such as azo dye intermediates);

　　Synthesis of surfactants (such as cationic surfactants used in fabric softeners, bactericides), rubber accelerators, corrosion inhibitors, etc.

　　Gas purifying agent

　　Utilizing its alkalinity to absorb acidic components in industrial gases (such as CO₂, H₂S, SO₂, etc.), commonly used in natural gas and synthesis gas desulfurization or decarbonization processes.

　　Solvent and extractant

　　Due to its strong polarity and good solubility, it can be used as a solvent for certain organic reactions or as an extractant to separate rare metal ions (such as extracting precious metals from ores).

　　Other applications

　　As a catalyst or initiator for polymerization reactions (such as used in the synthesis of polyurethane foam);

　　Used in the preparation of explosive intermediates, dye fixing agents, electroplating additives, etc.
