Industrial Cleaning and Surface Treatment

Metal Degreasers: Ethoxylated propylene glycol monobutyl ether (n=5-8) can effectively dissolve mineral oils and greases, while enhancing aqueous phase dispersibility through ethoxylated chain segments. Used in automotive parts cleaning fluids, the oil removal rate can reach over 98%. Electronic Cleaners: High-purity products (n=10-12) can remove rosin flux residues from circuit board surfaces, with ion content < 10 ppm, complying with IPC-7510 standards.

Coatings and Inks

Waterborne Coatings Coalescing Agents: Products with n=8-10 can reduce the Minimum Film Formation Temperature (MFT) of waterborne acrylic coatings to below 5℃, improving film flexibility and gloss. The dosage is typically 3-5% of the formulation.

Ink Dispersants: Used as coupling agents in solvent-based inks to improve the dispersion stability of pigments (such as carbon black) in resins, preventing flocculation and settling.

Polymer Material Synthesis

Polyurethane Foam Stabilizers: Products with n=6-8 can regulate foam cell size distribution, enhancing the resilience and compression strength of polyurethane flexible foams. The dosage is 0.5-1.0% of the polyol.

Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer Intermediates: Copolymerized with acrylic acid to prepare high-performance superplasticizers. At a dosage of 1.0%, the water reduction rate can reach 35%, suitable for concrete in super high-rise buildings.

Agriculture and Daily Chemicals

Pesticide Emulsifiers: Products with n=12-15 serve as O/W emulsifiers, capable of controlling the emulsion particle size of pesticide emulsifiable concentrates to below 2μm. Stability is maintained without layering after 14 days of heat storage at 50℃.

Personal Care Solubilizers: Products with n=10-12 can solubilize essential oils (such as lavender oil) in aqueous systems. The dosage is 1.5-2 times that of the essential oil, forming a transparent and stable solution.
