Operational links of a water plant are both independent and interconnected. Therefore, when the PLC automation control system developed by our company is applied to a water plant, different control stations need to be set up according to different process links.
During water treatment, the dosing system of the PLC automation control system uses PLC to collect signals such as instruments and streaming current for control. By collecting and processing the collected signals, we analyze whether the dosage is appropriate, and then control the drug dosage through metering pumps. Under different circumstances, the parameters of raw water vary, and the methods of streaming current and sediment turbidity detection can reflect the specific situation of water quality. Therefore, the following data need to be used as references in the dosing system of the PLC automation control system: When adding flocculants, secondary detection of water quality is required, for example, using a streaming current meter to detect the effect after adding flocculants, and then consider whether to continue dosing after comparing with the standard value, so as to minimize the use of drugs on the premise of ensuring clean water quality. When water plants transport water to the outside, the water pressure changes. The pressure loss in the pipeline varies with the water supply: the larger the water supply, the greater the pressure loss. In order to reduce losses and meet most users' demand for water pressure, real-time testing at multiple test points is required to ensure water pressure. When insufficient water pressure is detected, the water pressure should be increased in time to ensure user satisfaction. The PLC automation control system of the water pump station calculates based on the pressure required to ensure normal water supply at the water outlet, collects the water pressure at the output end, and automatically adjusts the water pressure that the water pump station needs to output through an algorithm, so as to ensure that the outlet water pressure reaches a specified value, avoiding frequent startup and shutdown, and also reducing energy consumption.
Constant water level control and flushing control of filter tanks are the key to filter tank control. Since manual operation is too complicated, most water plants use PLC control technology, which allows the filter tanks to be cleaned better. The automatic control of filter tanks automatically collects the losses during the operation of the filter tanks through the PLC automation control system, and adopts constant water level filtration through calculation. When the filter tank needs to be flushed, the system can automatically judge whether cleaning is required, execute the cleaning command, and the on-duty staff only need to perform remote control to complete the cleaning of the filter tank.
