The YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor is a less commonly used electromechanical product. While some customers use it, the number is relatively small. The commonly used YS8024 three-phase asynchronous motor is more popular. This motor has a power of 1100 watts, a speed of 1400 rpm, a voltage of 380V, and a shaft diameter of 19mm. If you need this electromechanical product for your production, please feel free to communicate with us. The motor uses copper windings, so customers can rest assured about this. We are honest in our conduct and our products are also made with integrity. Only by providing good services can we gain customer recognition and achieve sales. We all know this, and we look forward to your call.
In inverter applications, it is necessary to use external grounding of the motor frame to balance the potential between the motor frame and the driven equipment, unless both devices are installed on the same metal base. If the motor frame size is larger than IEC 280, use a 0.75 x 70mm flat wire or at least two 50mm² round wires. The minimum distance between the two round wires must be 150 mm.
This layout does not have any electrical safety function; its function is to balance potentials. If the motor and gearbox are installed on a common steel base, no potential balancing method is required.
Lifting YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor equipment
Before lifting the equipment, ensure that suitable lifting equipment is available and that operators are familiar with lifting work. The equipment weight is shown on the nameplate, in the dimensional drawings, and in the packing list.
Note: Lift the entire equipment using only the dedicated lifting lugs or eyes. Do not use any other small lugs or eyes on the equipment, as they are only intended for maintenance purposes.
Note: Due to differences in output power, installation method, and auxiliary equipment, the center of gravity of equipment with the same frame type may vary.
Note: Before lifting, check that the lifting lug bolts and lugs on the equipment frame are intact. If the lugs are damaged, they cannot be used.
Note: Before lifting, the lifting lug bolts must be tightened. If necessary, adjust the position of the lifting lug bolts with appropriate washers.
Overview
The design of the basic YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor should ensure safe operating conditions and maintainability. Sufficient free space should be left around the equipment to facilitate maintenance and monitoring. Cooling air should flow unobstructed through the equipment. Careful planning is required to ensure that other nearby machines or equipment do not heat the equipment's cooling air or structures, such as bearings.
The foundation must be sturdy, solid, flat, and free from external vibration. It must be verified whether the equipment may resonate with the foundation. To avoid resonance with the equipment, the natural frequency of the foundation and equipment combined must not be within the ±20% range of the operating speed frequency.
A concrete foundation is preferred, but a steel structure can also be used if the design is reasonable. Before construction, consider the fixed position of the equipment on the foundation, the locations of air, water, and lubricant supply, cable trenches, and grouting holes. The positions of the grouting holes and the height of the foundation must match the corresponding dimensions indicated on the provided dimensional drawings.
Assembly
YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor When assembling the coupling, follow the instructions below. Comply with the general instructions from the coupling supplier.
Couplings can be quite heavy. Appropriate lifting tools may be needed to remove the anti-corrosion coating from the shaft extension, and verify the dimensions of the shaft extension and coupling against the provided drawings. Also ensure that the keyways of the coupling and shaft extension are clean and free of burrs.
Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the shaft extension and housing bore to facilitate coupling installation. Do not use molybdenum disulfide (Motykote) or similar products on the mating surfaces. The coupling must be fitted with a sturdy guard.
Note: To avoid damaging the bearings, do not apply external force to the bearings when assembling the coupling.
Foundation and grouting hole preparation
When fixing the equipment to the foundation, use foundation anchor bolts or base plates.
When preparing the foundation, consider the following: The upper part of the foundation must be cleaned or vacuumed.
The inner surfaces of the grouting holes must be rough to ensure a strong bond. For the same reason, these grouting holes must be rinsed and wetted to remove contaminants and dust. If there is oil or grease on the concrete surface, it must be removed by chipping off a layer of the concrete surface.
Check that the positions of the grouting holes and the height of the foundation match the corresponding dimensions indicated on the provided drawings.
Embed a steel wire in the foundation to indicate the equipment's center line. Also mark the axial position of the equipment.
Guards and seals
YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor Join the two halves of the coupling together according to the coupling manufacturer's instructions to complete the coupling installation.
Note: The coupling must be fitted with a sturdy guard.
After the equipment is in place, aligned, and accessories are installed, carefully inspect the inside of the seal to ensure no tools or foreign objects are left inside. Also remove dust or debris.
When installing the guard, check that all sealing strips are intact.
Store the alignment and assembly accessories together with the transport locking device for future use.
External blower motor connection
The external blower motor is generally a three-phase asynchronous motor. The junction box is usually located on the frame of the blower motor. The nameplate of the external blower motor indicates the applicable voltage and frequency. The fan rotation direction is indicated by the arrow on the main equipment flange.
Note: Before starting the main equipment, visually check the rotation direction of the external blower motor. If the blower motor rotates in the wrong direction, the phase sequence of the blower motor must be adjusted.
Grounding
The equipment enclosure, main junction box, auxiliary junction box, and related equipment must be connected to protective ground. The connection between the protective ground and the power supply must be able to protect the equipment frame from harmful or dangerous potentials (voltages). Note: Before connecting the equipment to the power supply, it must be grounded in accordance with local regulations. Note: The warranty does not cover bearings damaged due to improper grounding or wiring.
Mark the equipment and junction box with the grounding symbol in accordance with relevant national standards.
Rotation direction
YS8034 three-phase asynchronous motor The purpose of the first start is to check the rotation direction of the equipment. The rotation direction of the equipment should match the direction of the arrow indicated on the equipment enclosure or fan cover. The rotation direction of the external blower is indicated by the arrow near the blower. The equipment can only operate in the specified rotation direction. The rotation direction is indicated on the nameplate; see Appendix: Nameplate Location.
Equipment that can reverse rotation is marked with a two-way arrow on the nameplate and equipment enclosure.
If for some reason the required rotation direction is different from the specified rotation direction of the equipment, the cooling fans of the internal and/or external cooling circuits and the markings on the nameplate must be replaced. To change the rotation direction, swap two phases of the cable lines.
