Nowadays, many people prefer new energy vehicles, while fuel vehicles have largely declined. However, some people still love fuel cars. For those who drive around 10,000 kilometers a year, new energy vehicles are more cost-effective when considering expenses compared to fuel cars. But if you want to try something new, that's a different story. The economy is in a downward trend, and people are tightening their belts, so everyone tries to save where they can. As long as products are affordable and good value for money, consumers are willing to buy them. Take the YS8014 three-phase asynchronous motor we are introducing today, which offers great cost performance. Foreign brands are twice as expensive as ours, but their usage is the same. However, we also need to acknowledge that higher prices are justified by better materials. There will inevitably be differences in components between small factories and large factories, and it depends on consumers' choices, not just blindly going for big brands. What suits you is the best, and you also need to consider your product positioning.
Cleaning the Motor
The interior and exterior of the YS8014 three-phase asynchronous motor must be kept free of dust, oil, and grease. Accumulations of oil mist, deposits, flying powder, chemicals, or textile dust can block air ducts, impair cooling, and cause coil overheating. Conductive dust can also reduce the creepage distance for insulation. Sharp particles, driven by the fan, may scratch stator insulation and shorten its service life. Magnetic powder is particularly harmful to insulation. Dry air with a pressure ≤ 0.2 MPa (2 kg/cm²) can be used to blow away light, relatively harmless dust, but sand, metal, magnetic, or carbon powder should be removed by suction, and the suction nozzle must be non-metallic.
Transportation and Storage
Immediately report any damage found after submitting the equipment to the transport company. Stop commissioning if necessary. Lifting lugs are designed and manufactured based on the equipment's weight, so do not apply extra loads. Ensure correct lifting lugs are used. If necessary, use appropriate, precisely designed transport methods (such as rope guides). Before commissioning, remove transport fixtures (e.g., bearing locks, shock absorbers) and store them for future use. When storing the equipment, ensure the storage environment is dry, dust-free, and free of vibration (there is a risk of bearing damage when stationary). Before commissioning, measure the insulation resistance. For a dry red winding, the resistance value should be <1 kΩ per rated voltage. Comply with the manufacturer's instructions.
Installation of the YS8014 Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor
When using a direct-coupled coupling, ensure support is stable, feet are firmly fixed or flanged, and alignment is accurate. After assembly, avoid rotational frequency resonance and dual power supply frequencies. Rotate the rotor and listen for abnormal sliding noises. Check the rotation direction when not coupled.
When installing or removing couplings or other drive components, follow the manufacturer's instructions and cover them with protective guards. When running without an output component, lock or remove the shaft end key to avoid extra radial and axial loads (refer to the manufacturer's documentation). The machine's balance is indicated as H = half-key and F = full-key. For half-key models and when using couplings, half-key balance must be used. Maintain mechanical balance at the protruding installation location (visible part of the shaft end key). Ensure necessary ventilation and cooling connections; the ventilation system must not be blocked, and exhaust gases and gases from adjacent devices must not be directly drawn in.
Electrical Connection of the YS8014 Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor
All operations must be performed by specialized technical personnel when the machine is stopped. Before starting work, strictly follow the following safety regulations:
Cut off the power supply!
Use protective devices to prevent re-closure!
Confirm the power supply is safely isolated! Connect the grounding wire and short-circuit it!
Cover or block nearby live parts!
Cut off the power supply of auxiliary circuits (e.g., anti-condensation heating circuits)!
If the limits in Zone A of EN 60034-1/DIN VDE 0530-1 are exceeded (i.e., voltage ±5%, frequency 12%, waveform and symmetry), it will lead to higher temperature rise and affect electromagnetic compatibility. Pay attention to the markings on the nameplate and the connection diagram in the junction box.
Connections must be made in a visible way to maintain a permanently safe electrical connection. Use appropriate cable terminals. Establish and maintain safe equipotential bonding. The gap between uninsulated live parts and between these parts and the ground must not be less than the values specified in applicable standards and the manufacturer's documentation. No foreign matter, dust, or moisture is allowed in the junction box. Seal unused cable entry holes and enclose the junction box in a dust-proof and waterproof manner. If the equipment is used without a coupling, then
Lock the key. For equipment with accessories, check the normal function of these accessories before starting commissioning.
Proper installation (e.g., separate cables for signal lines and power lines, etc.).
Delivery Inspection
Upon arrival, inspect the equipment and packaging. If filing a transport insurance claim, take photos of transport-related damage and report immediately (within one week of delivery). Therefore, it is very important to immediately inspect and report evidence of improper handling to the transport company and supplier. Use the checklist in the Appendix: Commissioning Report. For equipment not installed immediately after delivery, arrange personnel to manage it and take protective measures.
Unpacking Inspection
Place the equipment in a flat, stable area that does not interfere with the handling of other items. After removing the packaging, check that the equipment is intact and all accessories are complete. Compare with the packing list in the package to verify accessories. If any suspected damage or missing accessories are found, take photos and report immediately to the supplier.
Short-Term Storage of the YS8014 Three-Phase Asynchronous Motor (no more than two months)
The equipment should be stored in a suitable warehouse with a controlled environment. A good warehouse or storage location should have:
Stable temperature, preferably between 10°C (50°F) and 50°C (120°F). If the anti-condensation heater is connected to power and the ambient air temperature is above 50°C (120°F), ensure the equipment does not overheat. Relatively low air humidity, preferably below 75%. The equipment temperature should be maintained above the dew point to prevent moisture condensation inside. If the equipment is equipped with an anti-condensation heater, connect the heater to power. Regularly check the operation of the anti-condensation heater. If the equipment is not equipped with an anti-condensation heater, alternative heating methods must be used to prevent moisture condensation inside.
Stable support that does not cause excessive vibration. If vibration may be excessive, place appropriate rubber pads under the equipment feet to avoid direct impact.
Good ventilation, clean air free of dust and corrosive gases.
Can prevent harmful insects and parasites from entering.
If the equipment needs to be stored outdoors, do not leave it in its transport packaging "as is". Instead, the equipment must:
Remove it from its plastic packaging and cover it to absolutely prevent rainwater from entering. The covering should not block the equipment's ventilation. Place it on a rigid support at least 100 mm (4") high to ensure moisture does not enter from below. Maintain good ventilation. If the equipment is not removed from its transport packaging, open sufficiently large ventilation holes in the packaging.
Prevent harmful insects and parasites from entering the YS8014 three-phase asynchronous motor.
