Bellows-type steam trap
I. Introduction:
The CS46H bellow-type steam trap (steam pressure balance type) is currently the most widely used advanced energy-saving steam trap in the world. The bellow-type steam trap has a very sensitive response. During operation, high-temperature condensate is stored in front of the valve, with no steam leakage, resulting in remarkable energy-saving effects. The advantages of the bellow-type steam trap are: automatic air venting, small size, freeze resistance, and installable at any position; convenient maintenance, allowing inspection, repair, and part replacement on the pipeline; maximum back pressure rate ≤80%, sturdy bellow, and long service life. The CS46H bellow-type steam trap is suitable for condensate drainage of steam main pipelines, steam tracing pipelines, instrument tracing, and small heating equipment, with a wide range of applications.
II. Product Features:
1. It operates cyclically with fixed subcooling within the pressure range.
2. Excellent air discharge capacity, resistant to superheated steam and water hammer.
3. The temperature-sensing element has strong corrosion resistance, ensuring the valve has a long service life and durability.
4. The valve is equipped with single, double, or multiple sets of bellows, suitable for high-drainage occasions.
5. The valve body is available in two structures: carbon steel and stainless steel. It is small, lightweight, and performs well when installed vertically; it can also be installed at any angle.
III. Working Principle:
1. When the device starts up, air enters the steam trap, and the valve core is in the open position at low temperature.
2. Immediately after, condensate enters the steam trap. At low temperature, the temperature-sensing liquid inside the bellow element remains in a condensed state, and the valve core is fully open to quickly discharge the condensate.
3. As the condensate enters the steam trap, the temperature-sensing liquid inside the bellow element begins to evaporate and expand with increasing temperature. The internal pressure causes the diaphragm to drive the valve core to move toward the closed direction. Before the temperature reaches the saturation temperature, the valve core fully closes the valve.
4. After the hot condensate stored in the valve slowly cools down, the diaphragm contracts due to reduced internal pressure, driving the valve core to open the valve and continue discharging condensate. Since hot condensate is always stored in front of the valve, steam-water separation is formed with no steam leakage. External connection dimensions of the CS46H bellow-type steam trap:
