Q41F Cast Iron Ball Valve
I. Introduction:
The closing part of the Q41F cast iron ball valve is a sphere. This valve achieves opening and closing by rotating the sphere around the center line of the valve body. Ball valves are mainly used in pipelines to cut off, distribute, and change the flow direction of the medium. The floating ball valve adopts a specially designed double-inclined elastic sealing ring, which effectively reduces the friction between the sphere and the sealing ring and lowers the operating torque. When the medium pressure is low, the contact area between the sealing ring and the sphere is small, resulting in a large sealing specific pressure to ensure reliable sealing. When the medium pressure is high, the contact area between the sealing ring and the sphere also increases correspondingly, so the sealing ring can withstand a large medium thrust without damage, ensuring reliable sealing.
II. Product Advantages:
1. Small fluid resistance; full-bore ball valves have almost no flow resistance.
2. Simple structure, small size, and light weight.
3. Tight and reliable sealing. It has two sealing surfaces, and currently, various plastics are widely used as sealing surface materials for ball valves, providing good sealing performance and achieving complete sealing. It is also widely used in vacuum systems.
4. Convenient operation and quick opening/closing; only a 90° rotation is required from fully open to fully closed, facilitating remote control.
5. Easy maintenance; the ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient.
6. When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the sphere and valve seat are isolated from the medium, so the medium will not cause erosion to the sealing surfaces of the ball valve when passing through.
7. Wide application range; the bore diameter ranges from a few millimeters to several meters, and it can be applied from high vacuum to high pressure.
8. Due to the wiping action during the opening and closing process of the ball valve, it can be used for media containing suspended solid particles.
III. Product Installation:
(1) Remove the protective covers from both sides of the flange end, and flush and clean the valve while it is fully open.
(2) Before installation, conduct a full machine test according to the specified signal (electric or pneumatic) to prevent vibration during transportation from affecting performance. Only after passing the test can it be installed on the pipeline (wiring should follow the wiring diagram of the electric actuator).
(3) Before connecting to the pipeline, flush and remove residual impurities in the pipeline, as these substances may damage the valve seat and sphere.
(4) During installation, do not use the actuator part of the valve as a lifting point to avoid damaging the actuator and accessories.
(5) This type of valve should be installed in the horizontal or vertical direction of the pipeline.
(6) The pipeline near the installation point should not sag or be subjected to external force; pipeline supports or braces can be used to eliminate pipeline deviation.
(7) After connecting to the pipeline, tighten the flange connection bolts crosswise with the specified torque.
