Q11F Guang-style ball valve
I. Introduction:
Guangzhou-style ball valves are divided into one-piece, two-piece and three-piece types. The valve body is cast using advanced technology introduced from Taiwan, featuring a reasonable structure and beautiful appearance. The valve seat adopts an elastic sealing structure, ensuring reliable sealing and smooth operation. The valve stem adopts a bottom-mounted structure with anti-blowout design, so the valve stem will not be blown out even if there is abnormal pressure rise in the valve cavity. A 90° switch positioning mechanism can be installed, and a lock can be added as needed to prevent misoperation. Guangzhou-style ball valves are suitable for various pipelines with PN1.0~4.0MPa, operating temperature of -29~180℃ (with reinforced PTFE seal) or -29~300℃ (with polyphenylene sulfide seal), used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline. By selecting different materials, they can be applied to various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, etc.
II. Product Features:
(1) Small fluid resistance, full-bore ball valves have almost no flow resistance.
(2) Simple structure, small size and light weight.
(3) Tight and reliable sealing. It has two sealing surfaces, and currently various plastics are widely used as sealing surface materials for ball valves, ensuring good sealing performance and achieving complete sealing. It has also been widely used in vacuum systems.
(4) Convenient operation and quick opening/closing; only a 90° rotation is required from fully open to fully closed, facilitating remote control.
(5) Easy maintenance. The ball valve has a simple structure, and the sealing ring is generally movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient.
(6) When fully open or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of the sphere and valve seat are isolated from the medium, so the medium passing through will not cause erosion to the valve sealing surfaces.
(7) Wide application range, with bore sizes ranging from a few millimeters to several meters, applicable from high vacuum to high pressure.
(8) Since the ball valve has a wiping action during the opening and closing process, it can be used for media with suspended solid particles.
III. Working Principle:
1. Opening Process
a In the closed position, the sphere is pressed against the valve seat by the [wiki]mechanical[/wiki] pressure of the valve stem.
b When the handwheel is rotated counterclockwise, the valve stem moves in the opposite direction, and its bottom angular plane separates the sphere from the valve seat.
c The valve stem continues to rise and interacts with the guide pin in the spiral groove of the valve stem, causing the sphere to start rotating without friction.
d Until reaching the fully open position, the valve stem rises to the limit position, and the sphere rotates to the fully open position.
2. Closing Process
a When closing, rotate the handle clockwise, the valve stem starts to descend and the sphere leaves the valve seat to start rotating.
b Continue rotating the handwheel, the valve stem is acted upon by the guide pin embedded in its spiral groove, causing the valve stem and sphere to rotate 90° simultaneously.
c When almost closed, the sphere has rotated 90° without contact with the valve stem.
d In the last few turns of the handwheel, the angular plane at the bottom of the valve stem mechanically wedges against and presses the sphere, forcing it to tightly press against the valve seat to achieve complete sealing.
