Large diameter butterfly valve

I. Product Introduction:
Metal-seated butterfly valves generally have a longer service life than elastomer-seated ones, but it is difficult to achieve perfect sealing. Metal seals can withstand higher operating temperatures, while elastomer seals have the drawback of being temperature-limited. Large-diameter butterfly valves, especially lug-type butterfly valves, feature a simple structure, small volume, and light weight, consisting of only a few parts. They can achieve rapid opening and closing with just a 90° rotation, making operation simple. Additionally, this valve has excellent fluid control characteristics. When the butterfly valve is fully open, the thickness of the disc is the main resistance when the medium flows through the valve body, resulting in a very small pressure drop across the valve, thus providing good flow control performance. Butterfly valves are available in two sealing types: elastomer sealing and metal sealing. For elastomer-seated valves, the sealing ring can be embedded in the valve body or attached around the disc.

II. Product Features:

3. The sealing surface of the disc is built-up with cobalt-based hard alloy, making it wear-resistant and ensuring a long service life.
4. Large-sized discs adopt a truss structure, offering high strength, large flow area, and small flow resistance.
5. This valve has a bidirectional sealing function, is not restricted by the flow direction of the medium during installation, and is not affected by spatial positions, allowing installation in any direction.
6. The driving device can be installed in multiple positions (rotated by 90° or 180°), which is convenient for users.

III. Product Applications:
1. Used in gas pipelines in the sulfuric acid industry: inlet and outlet of furnace front blowers, inlet and outlet of booster blowers, series and connecting valves for electric demisters, inlet and outlet of SO₂ main blowers, converter regulation, preheater inlet and outlet, etc., for regulating and cutting off gas flow.
2. Used in the sulfur-burning, conversion, and drying absorption sections of the sulfuric acid production system.
