EDRV Dynamic Balance Electric Control Valve
I. Introduction:
The EDRV dynamic balance electric regulating valve is a combination of a dynamic pressure difference balance valve and an electric regulating valve. It is equivalent to installing a constant pressure device at the inlet and outlet ends of an electric motor regulating valve. When the system pressure changes, the electric regulating valve remains in a constant pressure state, ensuring that the valve opening does not adjust due to flow changes caused by system pressure fluctuations, thereby increasing the hydraulic stability of the system. When the inlet pressure increases, the passage diameter automatically reduces to decrease flow changes, and vice versa. If installed in reverse, this regulating system will not function. Moreover, the valve disc that performs the regulating function is directional; reverse pressure can even reduce or completely block the flow. Since the balance valve is installed for better heating, there is no issue of reverse installation. If it is installed in reverse, it is a human error and will naturally be corrected. The balance valve belongs to the category of regulating valves. Its working principle is to change the flow resistance of fluid through the valve by adjusting the gap (i.e., opening degree) between the valve core and the valve seat, thereby achieving the purpose of flow regulation.
II. Working Principle:
The EDRV dynamic balance electric regulating valve is an integrated product of dynamic balance and electric regulation. It adopts a brand-new design concept, enabling the regulating valve to balance the pressure changes of the dynamic system during actual system operation when pressure fluctuates. Therefore, the flow characteristic curve of this dynamic balance electric regulating valve during operation is consistent with the ideal flow characteristic curve, with no deviation. The special design ensures that the regulation of the electric balance valve is only affected by the standard control signal, not by system pressure fluctuations. Moreover, the flow rate at any opening position of the electric valve is constant. For HVAC systems, this means that the heat (or cold) quantity delivered by the electric valve at any position is stable. Therefore, this dynamic electric balance valve is particularly suitable for variable flow systems with large changes in system load. It has the characteristics of strong anti-interference ability, stable working state, and high regulation accuracy. It avoids the disadvantage of traditional electric regulating valves, where the flow rate changes with system pressure fluctuations even at the same opening position. The dynamic electric balance valve maintains a constant flow rate. When a change is specified, the opening degree adjusts to set a new flow rate, and the balance valve then maintains this new flow rate. In this way, it is not affected by external factors, keeping the flow rate of the unit constant and making system regulation more stable.
III. Installation and Commissioning:
1. Slide the actuator bracket onto the valve body connection head, and tighten the actuator fixing screws.
2. First, slide the connecting nut onto the valve stem, apply power to rotate the actuator, and lower the actuator lifting nut until it fits with the valve stem, then cut off the power. Next, place the semicircular retaining ring into the valve stem groove, lift the connecting nut, and screw it into the adjustable thread. After adjusting the position, tighten the locking nut with a wrench.
3. When installing the dynamic balance electric regulating valve, vertical installation should be prioritized, and sufficient space should be left for maintenance and removal of the actuator.
4. Apply power to close the valve, align and attach the scale with the scale indicator.
