In 1934, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlotte Perriand designed an extra-wide sofa for his apartment at 24 Rue Nungesser et Coli in Paris. This was the first-floor apartment he moved into with his wife Yvonne, which consisted of a studio and a private residence.
