In 1934, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand designed an extra-wide sofa for his apartment at 24 Rue Nungesser et Coli in Paris. This was the ground-floor apartment he moved into with his wife Yvonne, which was divided into a studio and a private residence.
Although the LC5 SOFA has not received as much exposure as other works in the LC series such as the LC2 and LC3, it remains a classic design by Le Corbusier.
