Application
FMU30 is used for continuous non-contact level measurement of liquids, slurries, white lime and rough solids in simple application scenarios. The FMU30 cannot be used for measurement when foam is present.
Function
The sensor emits ultrasonic pulse signals directly to the medium surface. The pulse signals are reflected on the medium surface, and the reflected signals are received by the sensor. The instrument measures the time difference between the transmitted and received pulse signals. Based on the time difference and the speed of sound, the distance between the sensor diaphragm and the medium surface is calculated.
