Radar-Triggered Integrated Acousto-Optic Power Alarm
I. Overview
The improvement of economic level has accelerated the transformation from rural to urban areas, and the improvement of living quality has led to a sharp increase in the number of urban population and vehicles. According to statistics, the year-on-year growth of external damage accidents of power facilities in cities is about 30%, which has brought large economic losses to power departments. In response to this, Telcom has developed the Radar-Triggered Integrated Acousto-Optic Power Alarm to give early warnings to pedestrians and vehicles passing by and timely avoid such external damage accidents.
II. Working Principle
The Radar-Triggered Integrated Acousto-Optic Power Alarm is generally composed of a strobe light, power supply module, high-decibel horn, radar sensing module, and RFID intelligent inspection module. After the device is installed on power facilities through angle iron or hoop-type accessories, the radar detection function is activated. When pedestrians or vehicles enter the sensing range, it immediately triggers a combined sound and light alarm (the light-sensing accessory enables the device to only trigger sound alarms during the day or under strong light conditions, reducing the loss of the strobe light). It can provide excellent warning effects 24 hours a day regardless of weather conditions. The device can be powered by solar energy / 9V power adapter, and the power supply method can be freely selected according to on-site conditions.
III. Technical Parameters

V. Postscript
In the past, warning devices were also installed on urban power facilities to avoid man-made damage, but most of these warning devices used text warning signs, such as warning slogans with yellow background and black text or yellow-black warning stripes. These products may alert passing vehicles and pedestrians during the day, making them avoid power facilities in advance, but at night, their warning effect is almost zero. Moreover, in the rapidly developing modern cities, with car horns, broadcast sounds and other noises filling the surroundings, it is even more difficult to remind pedestrians in noisy environments. The Telcom Radar-Triggered Integrated Acousto-Optic Power Alarm is equipped with human body sensing technology and a combined sound and light alarm method, which can effectively warn pedestrians and vehicles around power facilities and save power grid operation and maintenance costs.
VI. Installation Suggestions
The device can be installed not only on urban power distribution facilities, but also on transmission towers outside cities. In areas with poor lighting conditions, the number of installations can be appropriately increased to ensure the warning effect.
