The static var generator (SVG) for the 10kV line of New Energy Power is installed on outdoor poles based on the load characteristics of the 10kV line.
The SVG for the 10kV line uses a low-voltage 0.6kV compensation unit, which is boosted by a 10kV/0.6kV dry-type transformer before being connected to the 10kV line. Different from traditional MSC (contactor-switched capacitor banks)/TSC (thyristor-switched capacitor banks) that switch in different groups of capacitors according to the size of the system's inductive reactive power, it adopts an advanced power electronic device IGBT to form a bridge-type converter circuit. By sampling the load current and separating each harmonic and reactive power, it can quickly respond to changes in the system load, actively control the magnitude, frequency and phase of the output current, realize dynamic reactive power compensation and harmonic elimination, and stabilize the system voltage. It has the characteristics of fast response speed, stepless reactive power compensation, strong filtering capability, flexible installation, convenient expansion, small floor area, etc.
