Introduction:
The main function of the lump crusher valve is to crush lumps in the material flow of the discharger. These lumps are formed when materials get damp in the silo or bin. Since the lumps in the material cannot pass through the discharge port of the discharger, they will cause material blockage and generate false signals of non-actual flow for the flow regulating valve. This will, at a minimum, affect the normal production of the process system, and at worst, the false signals will cause a serious imbalance in the proportion between raw materials and fuels, leading to excessive temperature in the combustion equipment and resulting in equipment accidents.
The lump crusher valve can be installed horizontally or vertically at the inlet end of the discharge equipment at the discharge outlet, such as in front of the flow regulating valve or pneumatic shut-off valve. When large lumps appear in the material, it can crush them immediately to prevent these large materials from blocking the passage of the discharge valve and ensure smooth discharge. The rotor of the crusher valve is equipped with radially arranged crushing claws, which stir the lump materials through the grid and crush them.
The operational safety of the lump crusher valve is ensured by the motor speed detection device integrated in the electric control box. When some lump materials in the material cannot be crushed and jam the rotor, the speed detection device will alarm and reverse automatically, pushing the uncrushable lump materials away before rotating forward again. If both forward and reverse rotation are jammed, the crusher valve will shut down automatically and wait for the fault to be cleared before resuming operation.
The speed detection device is an optional accessory. If required, it should be specified when ordering the equipment.
