This instrument is applicable to determining the drop point of white vaselin and yellow vaselin according to the vaselin drop point method in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, that is, the temperature at which the first drop of liquid drips from the grease cup under specified standard conditions. This instrument is also called a drop point meter, and is specially applicable to the determination of the drop point of white vaselin and yellow vaselin.
I. Main Functional Features
1. The instrument is mainly composed of an oil bath, insulation cylinder, heater, stirrer, illuminating lamp and control box, etc. It has the advantages of convenient control of oil bath heating rate, clear observation of sample dripping, and the ability to conduct double-tube drop point tests simultaneously.
2. The oil bath is composed of a high-temperature-resistant beaker, heater and electric stirrer. The heating power is continuously adjustable, and the temperature in the bath is uniform, meeting the requirements of the test.
3. The instrument is designed as a desktop structure, compact and beautiful, easy to use, complete in supporting accessories, and users can conduct tests immediately after purchase.
4. The instrument is equipped with a dedicated vaselin drop point thermometer, metal tube, metal sleeve and metal grease cup, ensuring the accuracy of test results.
5. The latest model is equipped with a dedicated rack for vaselin drop point test tubes, making it more convenient for users to conduct tests.
6. It complies with the standards of the 2020 edition of Pharmacopoeia. The thermometer directly contacts and accurately tests the temperature of the vaselin sample. When testing, the drop point thermometer directly contacts the sample itself, with small temperature deviation and high sensitivity.
