Automatic dropping point meter for vaseline is suitable for determining the dropping point of white vaseline and yellow vaseline according to the dropping point method for vaseline in the 2020 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, that is, the temperature at which one drop of liquid drips from the sample in the grease cup under specified standard conditions. This instrument is also called a dropping point meter, and is specially suitable for the determination of the dropping point of white vaseline and yellow vaseline.
This automatic instrument also complies with ASTM (D3204, D3461, D3954, D6090), DIN (51920), ISO 4625-2 and the European Pharmacopoeia.
I. Main Functional Features of the Automatic Dropping Point Meter for Vaseline
1. Heating Furnace Structure: The heating furnace includes a heating body, with a built-in heating sheet and a platinum resistance sensor; the middle hollow slot is the sample chamber, used to place the sample measurement assembly, which includes a grease cup chuck, a grease cup filled with sample, and a grease cup slit at the lower part. There is a light source below the heating body, which emits light through the slit light-transmitting hole of the slit sleeve and illuminates the signal sensor. When the sample softens and drips to block the light-transmitting hole, the signal sensor sends a signal, and the instrument records the temperature.
2. Sample Measurement Assembly: The middle part is the grease cup, used to place the sample; the upper part is the chuck, used to clamp the upper end of the grease cup and connect the handle; the lower part is the slit sleeve, used to allow light to pass through, and also to catch the dripping sample when the dropping point is reached.
3. Inspection of the Assembly Slit Sleeve: Enter the main interface, click the "Test" button, set the preset temperature to no more than 40°C, click the "Automatic Detection" button to enter the automatic test interface.
4. Place the sample assembly with an empty grease cup vertically into the sample chamber of the furnace, so that the lower observation port of the slit sleeve is parallel to the front, and the light-transmitting hole of the furnace is parallel to the light-transmitting hole of the slit sleeve, ensuring that the detection hole can transmit light.
