The opening and closing element of the resilient seated gate valve is the gate, whose movement direction is perpendicular to the fluid direction. The gate valve can only be fully opened or fully closed, and cannot be used for regulation and throttling. The soft-sealed gate valve can be used as a regulating and intercepting device in fluid pipelines such as water supply, sewage, construction, petroleum, chemical industry, food, medicine, textile, electric power, shipbuilding, metallurgy, energy systems, etc.
When opening the valve, when the gate is lifted to the fully open position, the fluid passage is completely unobstructed, but this position cannot be monitored during operation. In actual use, the vertex of the valve stem is used as a marker, that is, the position where it cannot be opened, as its fully open position. To consider the locking phenomenon caused by temperature changes, usually after opening to the vertex position, it is turned back by 1/2 to 1 turn as the fully open position of the valve. Therefore, the fully open position of the valve is determined by the stroke of the gate.
The working pressure of the resilient seated gate valve is required to be ≥ the working pressure of the pipeline. Without affecting the price, the working pressure that the valve can withstand should be greater than the actual working pressure of the pipeline; any side of the soft-sealed gate valve in the closed state should be able to withstand 1.1 times the working pressure of the valve without leakage; when the valve is open, the valve body should be able to withstand twice the working pressure of the valve.
