I. Instrument Overview

Excavation is the key process affecting the construction period and cost of tunnels. Over-excavation not only increases the project cost due to more muck discharge and lining quantity, but also directly affects the stability of surrounding rock due to stress concentration caused by local over-excavation. Under-excavation directly affects the thickness of the lining, which affects the project quality and safety. Various data show that over-excavation and under-excavation control has an important impact on the reliability and economic benefits of tunnel structures.
The FTDM series laser tunnel section analyzer adopts non-cooperative target laser ranging technology and precise angle measuring technology, closely combines polar coordinate measurement method with computer technology, and cooperates with professional graphic processing software, which can quickly obtain the internal contour curve of the closed tunnel space, display the over-excavation and under-excavation values in real time, and also measure the convergence situation and the amount of excavated earth and stone. It has the function of indicating blast holes, and can quickly produce test results and reports without post-processing. It is a very practical engineering measuring tool.
