FTDP-3 Rail Cant Measuring Instrument
I.Instrument Overview
The main contact part between the wheel tread and the rail top is a 1/20 slope. In order to enable the rail top to bear the axial force, the rail should also have an inward inclination, which forms the rail cant. Setting the rail cant can concentrate the rail contact on the middle of the rail top, improve the lateral stability of the rail, reduce the uneven wear of the rail head, and also help reduce the plastic deformation of the rail head and extend its service life. Since 1965, the rail cant standard for straight sections of Chinese railways has been uniformly changed from the original 1/20 to 1/40.
II. Product Execution Standards
TB/T3235-2010 General Technical Specifications for Railway Special Geometric Measuring Instruments
TB/T10601-2009 Code for Survey of High-Speed Railway Engineering
The rail cant measuring instrument is a special measuring instrument for measuring rail cant.

III. Main Technical Parameters
1.Measuring range: -1:10 ~ +1:10 or -10° ~ +10°;
2.Accuracy: 0.01°;
3.Operating temperature (℃): -25 ~ +70;
4.Operating voltage: 12V DC;
5.Operating current: 300mA;
6.Safety rating: IP65
7.Integrated structure, lightweight and portable, no other clamping tools are required during operation.
IV. Usage Instructions
1. Fully charge the instrument before use. For the charging method, use the dedicated charger provided by the manufacturer and insert it into the charging port. When the indicator light on the charger changes from red to green, it means fully charged. One full charge can be used for 8-10 hours, and the charging time is 3-5 hours.
Note: Be sure to use the dedicated charger provided by the manufacturer.
2. When using, first turn on the instrument power switch, as shown in the figure above, fit the working surface of the instrument to the rail measuring point, and then you can read the data. The normal reading range is -1:10 ~ +1:10 or -10° ~ +10°, and the instrument reading will flash if it exceeds the range.
3. Please put the instrument back into the special box after use to avoid loss of accessories.
4. If you do not use it for a long time, please charge the instrument regularly to avoid damage to the battery.
Note: The rail bottom surface needs to be wiped clean before measurement to ensure the measurement accuracy of the equipment.
