Wide meter reading range: GPRS has a wide coverage, and within the coverage of the wireless GPRS network, the control and management of equipment can be completed. The theoretical transmission rate of the GPRS network can reach 171.2kbit/s, and the actual data transmission rate of GPRS is currently around 40Kbps, which can meet the data transmission rate requirement (≥10Kbps) of this system. 7. Low communication cost: Adopting a monthly billing method, the operating cost is low. 8. The system is easy to expand and maintain. Since GPRS communication is a data packet communication network based on IP addresses, the monitoring center computer needs a fixed IP address or a fixed domain name. Each data collection point uses a GPRS module to access the host through the IP address or domain name, so as to carry out data communication.
