A corrugated pipe refers to a tubular elastic sensitive element formed by connecting foldable corrugated sheets along the folding and stretching direction. Corrugated pipes are widely used in instruments and meters, mainly serving as measuring elements in pressure measuring instruments to convert pressure into displacement or force. The pipe wall of a corrugated pipe is thin, with high sensitivity, and its measurement range is from tens of pascals to tens of megapascals. Its open end is fixed, while the sealed end is in a free state, and an auxiliary helical spring or reed is used to increase elasticity. During operation, it elongates along the length of the pipe under the action of internal pressure, causing the movable end to generate a displacement that has a certain relationship with the pressure. The movable end drives the pointer to directly indicate the magnitude of the pressure. Corrugated pipes are often combined with displacement sensors to form pressure sensors that output electrical signals, and sometimes they are also used as isolation elements. Since the expansion of a corrugated pipe requires a large volume change, its response speed is lower than that of a Bourdon tube. Corrugated pipes are suitable for measuring low pressure
The specifications of steel strip-reinforced polyethylene (PE) spiral corrugated pipes range from 500 mm to 2200 mm, and the length of the pipes is divided into 6 m to 12 m.
Requirements
1) Applicable when the long-term temperature of the medium is not more than 45℃.
2) Buried plastic drainage pipes shall be designed according to the theory of flexible pipes. Meanwhile, under the design condition, the vertical deformation of the pipe shall not exceed 5% of the pipe diameter.
3) The selection of the ring stiffness of the pipe is an important indicator in the design of plastic pipes, so it should be determined by comprehensively considering factors such as the burial depth of the pipe, ground load, the nature and compaction coefficient of the trench backfill soil, and construction load. Blindly adopting high ring stiffness is not economical. For pipes buried under roadways with a burial depth of less than 1.0 m, the influence of pipe deformation on the road surface shall also be considered.
4) Appearance
The inner surface of the pipe shall be smooth, and the outer corrugations shall be regular; there shall be no bubbles or visible impurities on the inner and outer walls of the pipe, and the weld seam shall not be separated.
The cut section of the pipe shall be trimmed, with no burrs.
The steel strip cut ends at both ends of the pipe shall be on the same longitudinal line of the pipe.
